Life and Growth Committee Goals for 2007

• We will work to refine the orientation and assimilation process for new members.
• Streamline information contained in the new member/welcome packets and/or the ZLC website.
• Offer a New Member brunch on New Member Sunday.
• We will continue to greet visitors each Sunday and make thank you phone calls to all visiting Sunday worshipers who sign the Fellowship Register.
• Assist with establishing a Visitor Station.
• We will continue to find/recruit Friends in Christ (mentors) from the congregation at large for the new member/family groups joining Zumbro Lutheran.
• We will continue to provide opportunities for new members to become involved in the life of the congregation.
• Promote the dinner groups for adults.
• Participate in Opportunity Fair.
• Coordinate an annual reunion for all new members and their Friends in Christ from the current year in conjunction with the summer congregational picnic.
• We will continue to encourage both new and long-time members to wear name tags to worship services and other church functions.
• Offer a Name Tag Sunday once a quarter.
• Purchase Name Tags for New Members.
• We will continue to support the Quilters and Friendly Visitors programs.
