Luther College Jazz Orchestra in Concert

FRIDAY, Mar. 17 | 7pm | Zumbro Sanctuary

Are you ever afraid of the people you meet?  Do news stories cause you to want to pull away from reaching out to others? Over the winter months, Pastor Vern is leading a four-week book study entitled Fear of the StrangerThe Luther College Jazz Orchestra will perform at Zumbro on Friday, Mar. 17, at 7pm. The program features a variety of exciting jazz repertoire including works by Duke Ellington, Oliver Nelson, helonious Monk, Bill Holman, Astor Piazzolla, Fred Sturm, and many others. Luther jazz faculty member Jon Ailabouni will also be featured on trumpet and flugelhorn. Jazz Orchestra is Luther’s premier jazz ensemble and is excited to perform for the Rochester community, and hopes you are able to attend the concert. A freewill offering will be received.
