Life & Growth Team

Vision

The Life and Growth Team is responsible for enriching the spiritual life and growth of all members of the congregation with special attention given to all new members. The Team shall engage in a ministry of outreach to new residents of Rochester and to any other prospective members. It is our intention to welcome all visitors to our Christian fellowship. The Team shall provide leadership and support to members of the congregation who are actively engaged in the ministry of visiting the homebound.

Opportunities to Participate

New Member Hosts
New Member Hosts act as sponsors for people joining the church and help the Life and Growth Team host a social orientation event giving new members and their sponsors an opportunity to get acquainted. This event includes a meal, an opportunity for new members to meet the Zumbro staff, a brief overview of the mission and ministry of Zumbro, and a tour of our facility.

Welcome Center Volunteers
The Welcome Center, (located in the front entry of Zumbro Lutheran Church) is staffed on Sunday mornings by a volunteer who is there to answer questions people may have about Zumbro. If you are proud of Zumbro and want to help others feel welcome in our church, please consider volunteering for this important ministry of hospitality.
