Mission Ministries

An Ethiopian Christian proverb says, "If you're baptized, you're a missionary." Zumbro's mission efforts reach across the street and around the world. Here you will find a number of ways Zumbro is reaching out around the world.

Zumbro's Sponsored Missionaries

Eric Anspach-Hanson and Christie Hanson serve as ELCA missionaries in Tokyo, Japan. Their mission has three goals. Serve as associate pastor at Tokyo Lutheran Church, an english speaking church.  The second goal is to help run a student center at Hongo Lutheran Church, also in Tokyo. At Hongo Church Eric teaches English classes and Bible classes to Japanese students. Hongo's ministry tries to connect non-Christian Japanese with the Christianity for possibly the first time in their lives. Many of the people they serve are interested in English, Christianity, and Western Culture.

Eric says, "We get a chance to teach students who know nothing about Christianity the story of Jesus for the first time."

Please keep Eric and Christie in your prayers as they serve Christ and participate in Jesus' Great Commission to "make disciples of all nations".
