Quilts for Kids

Quilts for Kids is a group of people interested in making child-size quilts for organizations with need such as Crisis Nursery, Women’s shelter, Boys and Girls Club, Social Services, as well as disaster events and mission trips the youth serve around the country.  Our outreach has been to Robin’s Nest in Jamaica, Haiti, Tanzania, Iraq, and Katrina as well as people in need locally.  We make nice new quilts for all persons baptized at Zumbro that is given on the day of their baptism.

We meet the first and third Thursdays of the month, unless it is a holiday.  We meet in room 118 at 1:00 pm and 6:30 in the evening.  

We accept monetary donations as well as fabrics including “second-hand” blankets and sheets and yarn for tying the quilts.  Donations can be brought to the church office marked for Quilts for Kids, or put in the Action Box marked for Quilts for Kids.
