Quilts for Kids

Quilts for Kids is a group of people interested in making child-size quilts for organizations with need such as Crisis Nursery, Women’s shelter, Boys and Girls Club, Social Services, as well as disaster events and mission trips the youth serve around the country.  Their outreach has been to Robin’s Nest in Jamaica, Haiti, Tanzania, Iraq, and Katrina as well as people in need locally.  All children baptized at Zumbro receive a quilt  on the baptism day.

The group meets in Room 118 on the first and third Thursdays of the month, at 1:00pm and 6:30pm. They do not meet on holidays.

They accept monetary donations as well as fabrics including “second-hand” blankets and sheets and yarn for tying the quilts.  Donations can be brought to the church office or placed in the Action Box outside the lounge. Please mark the package "Quilts for Kids."
