Zumbro Lutheran Choir

High School and Adult | Wednesdays beginning September 7 | 7-8:30pm | Choir Room | Childcare is provided

The Zumbro Lutheran Choir, under the direction of Bob Giere, is a non-auditioned 60 voice mixed voice ensemble for high school and adult singers. Nursery services are available during rehearsal. Click here to read three reasons to join the Zumbro Lutheran Choir.

The choir sings for worship regularly with one Sunday off per month and alternates between 8:30am and 11am worship hours. The choir leads in worship with inspiring and challenging repertoire, leads in the liturgies and presents major works in the fall and spring months. For more than 30 years the choir has participated in the Festival of Lessons and Carols at St. Marys Hospital Chapel.

The Zumbro Lutheran Choir toured England and Ireland, June 10-19, 2013.

The choir has recorded two CDs, Rise Up Shepherd, and Follow featuring Christmas selections and LUX, a recording of Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna and the premiere of K. Lee Scott’s The Suffering Servant (commissioned by a grateful Zumbro Lutheran member) as well as other sacred choral favorites. Zumbro Choristers

Grades 4-9 | Wednesdays | 5:15-5:55pm beginning September 14 | Choir Room (middle level)

Zumbro Choristers, under the direction of Janette Reeves, sing for worship twice a month, and present an annual musical that is part of the worship service. The Choristers sing a wide variety of musical styles and developing great friendships is a very important part of the musical experience.

Ring-N-Sing: Dolce Children's Choir & Junior Ringers

Grades 1-3 | Mondays | 5:30-6:10pm beginning September 12 | Sanctuary

This is an introductory group for children to learn how to play handchimes and sing in choir setting. No prior musical experience is necessary.  The group will sing in worship once a month while they will play handchimes about four times through the school year.
