Baptism

Zumbro Lutheran is delighted to bring your child into the family of God through the sacrament of Holy Baptism. It's a time to celebrate new life, to remember our own baptisms, and to make commitments to nurture the faith of the newly baptized. We celebrate baptism during non-communion worship services (generally the second and fourth Sunday of the month).

Baptismal families are expected to attend a Building Blocks of Baptism class, prior to the baptism date if possible. It offers you an opportunity to review the meaning of the Baptismal sacrament as we profess it as Lutherans, and to think about how to start teaching your child about God's love. Most importantly, it will offer you an opportunity to connect with other parents who have children of a similar age. The next class is scheduled for June 16, 2013, 9:30 a.m.
