sudanese dinka congregation
The Dinka are a tribe from southern Sudan who came to the United States as refugees during a long civil war. This congregation worships Jesus Christ in their native language of Dinka and serves as a gathering place for Sudanese Dinka in Rochester.
The Sudanese Dinka Congregation is a partner of Zumbro Lutheran Church and a worshiping community of the ELCA.
The congregation is led by lay evangelist Kamen Makeur.
Zumbro opened its doors to the Dinka congregation in 2005.
