Up, up and away!

Our high school students and adults are on the plane and headed to Washington, DC bright and early this morning.

We will be serving and learning beside Steinbruck Center, a mission of Luther Place Memorial Church. Throughout the week we will work with a variety of feeding ministries, do an outreach run where care packages are handed out to those experiencing homelessness (in partnership with the National Coalition for the Homeless), will spend a day on Capital Hill with the ELCA office of advocacy, and experience many of the sites and sounds of our nation’s capital. Most importantly, we will witness the ways God is already at work in The District and be transformed by the places and people responding to God’s call to love God and love neighbor.

Thank you, Zumbro, for the many ways you support these young men and women and continue to raise them in faith. We couldn’t do trips like this one without your support. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you this week!

From the turbulent skies somewhere above Ohio–
