Children are welcome in worship at Zumbro! Whole-heartedly believing that worshipping together helps to build a strong family foundation, we encourage families to experience worship together. We also understand that there are challenges for children in worship so there are resources available that help create a positive worship experience for everyone!
Rainbow Bags are filled with quiet, engaging activities for our youngest worshippers. These, as well as colorful story bibles, are available to pick up outside the sanctuary.
Storytime is included during both Sunday morning services. This is a time for children to hear the Good News of Jesus in creative ways. Actually, it’s not just for the kids… adults enjoy it, too!
Zumbro Nursery Hours Sundays: 8:15-11:45am. The nursery is closed June, July & August.
Some mornings are better for kids in worship than others :). If your child is having 'one of those mornings' our nursery is professionally staffed and available on Sunday mornings. The mission of our nursery is to provide physical care and spiritual nurture to Zumbro's youngest children, birth to 4 years of age, while ministering to their parents as well; allowing them to worship and nurture their own faith while their children are cared for in a clean, safe and loving environment. During the summer when the nursery is closed, our City View space (to the right as you exit the sanctuary) has chairs, couches and a monitor showing the worship livestream and is available for anyone seeking space during worship.
Children's Pray-Ground
This quiet play area for children is located adjacent to the sanctuary in the chapel area. Children can play quietly with the toys provided there while still being present in worship! Children must be supervised while in the area. 

Faith Formation: PreK - 5th Grade
Sundays 9:35am-10:20am

Our sweet preschoolers (ages 3, 4 & 5) meet in a traditional Sunday School setting led by parent and youth volunteers on Sunday mornings during the school year (September-May). Bible stories, crafts, prayer, and music in a safe and loving environment, make this a great introduction to Faith Formation. New kiddos are welcome any time!
Kindergarten – 5th grade students meet in large and small group settings to explore different Bible stories and topics of faith on Sunday mornings during the school year (September - May). Led by Pastor Anna Ferro, Interim Pastor for Children, Youth & Family, and adult and youth volunteers, these gatherings build relationships and faith in our elementary kids, and they have a lot of fun in the process!

Club Z K-5th Grade: Wednesdays 6:30-7:45pm

CLUB Z! K - 5th graders gather together on Wednesday evenings (Sept - May) from 6:30-7:45pm. We begin in the Youth Room with pizza, high-energy music, messy games and an intro to the week's Bible lesson with Pastor Rob and the Confirmation students. We then split off into our own small groups to dig deeper into the story and what it means for our lives of faith in Jesus. It's a new year, a new idea and it's gonna be a ton of fun!

Art Camp happens every summer toward the end of June. This year's dates are
June 17-20, 2024. Open to children and youth, completed Kindergarten through 12th grade, this is a creative, messy, super fun week where kids and adult volunteers explore a variety of art mediums and create beautiful representations of their faith. This week is full of creativity, joy and discovery.

Vacation Bible School is set for
August 5-9, 2024! The energy and joy of VBS is unsurpassed ... it's the best week of the year! Preschool through 6th grade enjoy all the games, bible stories, snacks, crafts and music. Youth and adult volunteers have a great time leading them through it all!

Other fun family activities are also scheduled throughout the summer months. Examples are Honkers baseball games, Berne Pizza concerts, and gatherings at local parks.
