LSS Youth Resource Center

The Lutheran Social Service (LSS) Youth Resource Center at Zumbro Lutheran Church offers support and services for youth ages 16-24, who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

The resource center supports youth by providing:

  • Meals and a food pantry.
  • Personal hygiene items.
  • Computer and internet access.
  • Transportation resources.
  • Use of address to receive important documents.

The resource center also offers the following services:

  • Case worker support and guidance.
  • Skills classes.
  • Education planning.
  • Career path and employment assistance.
  • Housing referrals.
  • Connection to area resources.
  • Peer support and activities.

Ways to Support our Work

To donate basic need items, see the wishlist below. Items can be dropped off at the Youth Resource Center during open hours or brought to the Zumbro church office and labeled for the Resource Center. All donations are greatly appreciated!

LSS Advent Giving Tree

If you would like to donate Christmas gifts for the youth and young people of the LSS Youth Resource Center at Zumbro, you can:

  1. Choose an ornament from the Giving Tree outside the church library and purchase the item.
  2. Purchase gifts from the wishlist below.
  3. Purchase gifts from the Amazon wishlist below.

All purchased gifts can be placed under the Giving Tree between Nov. 16 and Dec. 7. Gifts can be delivered to the LSS Youth Resource Center Mon.-Thurs. 1pm-5:30pm or on Sat., Dec. 6 or Sun., Dec. 7 at Door 8 (on the side of the church by the outside pantry) from 10am-2pm. All gifts should be unwrapped.
